PENDAMPINGAN MANAJEMEN HOSPITALITY BERBASIS LINGKUNGAN DI DESA SAKTI NUSA PENIDA KABUPATEN KLUNGKUNG BALI

Abstract

This research discusses environmental-based hospitality management assistance in Sakti Village, Nusa Penida, Klungkung Regency, Bali. Sakti Village is an increasingly popular tourism destination on Nusa Penida Island, but the rapid growth of tourism also poses challenges to the environment and local culture. This research aims to identify environmental issues faced by Sakti Village due to tourism growth, as well as design and implement an environmental-based hospitality management strategy to address these issues. The research methodology involved field studies, interviews with local stakeholders, and data analysis. The results showed that the growth of tourism has caused various environmental problems in Sakti Village, including coral reef damage, increased plastic waste, and pressure on natural resources. The proposed environmental hospitality management strategy includes waste management, environmental education to tourists and local communities, ecotourism development, and collaboration with related parties. The implementation of this strategy is expected to help Sakti Village to preserve its environment while still utilising tourism potential as a source of income. This research provides an important contribution to environmental conservation efforts in tourism destinations that are vulnerable to the negative impacts of tourism. In addition, this research can also be a reference for local governments, communities, and other stakeholders who want to develop environment-based hospitality management in similar tourism destinations.
